Profile

Doctor of Veterinary Medicine specializing in aquatic animal health with more than 25 years of experience in the health and pathology of fish and other aquatic animals. Founder and director of Vetofish, a veterinary practice specializing in aquatic animal pathology, with a career combining clinical practice, field studies, laboratory diagnosis and health support for aquaculture and research facilities.

Extensive experience in necropsy, histology, bacteriology, electron microscopy, haematology and epidemiology applied to aquatic species. Expertise in designing health-monitoring protocols and experimental procedures, assessing fish welfare, preventing zoonotic risks and investigating diseases of fish and amphibians used as research models.

Lecturer for CNRS and Oniris in laboratory animal science and aquatic animal pathology. Contributor to the RESAMA and FELASA-AALAS networks, author and co-author of scientific publications on fish health, and speaker at international conferences and workshops on aquatic animal pathology, diagnosis and welfare.
