Profile

Aquatic veterinarian with more than 25 years of experience in aquatic animal medicine and pathology, with particular expertise in health monitoring for public aquariums, management of fish diseases and improvement of animal welfare in controlled environments. Founder and director of Vetofish, a specialist veterinary practice serving public aquariums, aquaculture operations and research facilities.

Extensive experience with teleosts, chondrichthyans and amphibians, covering clinical monitoring, necropsy, epidemiology, nutrition, assessment of husbandry conditions, prevention of environment-related disorders and organization of health-surveillance programs. Long-standing contributor to RESAMA, the French health-monitoring network for facilities housing aquatic animals.

Expertise in pathological investigations, laboratory diagnosis using bacteriology, parasitology and PCR, development of health protocols, vaccine trials, reproduction protocols and scientific collaborations with research organizations including CNRS, INRAE and Ifremer.
